Over the years customer requirements for graphic reproduction, while continuing to emphasize repeatability, have become increasingly more complex with multi-color images. Boutwell’s focus has been to meet or exceed graphic reproduction expectations of our customers, which drives continuous investment in proven state-of-the-art pre-press and print equipment, to facilitate these expectations. Additionally, Boutwell has perfected processes that when employed with this equipment provide creative latitude, outstanding repeatability, and efficient production.

Additionally, Boutwell has perfected processes that when employed with this equipment provide creative latitude, outstanding repeatability, and efficient production.
Boutwell’s print production mix is inclusive of the following processes:
- Four color process reproduction ( CMYK) and match PMS print alternatives.
- Aqueous top coating which provides aesthetic gloss and matte coatings in addition to functional rub resistant and heat seal coatings. These inline techniques increase throughput and efficiency.
- Hexachrome six color process printing which expands the color gamut to 90 percent of the available color spectrum vs. conventional four color process reproduction at 65% of full spectrum. This process when combined with those few PMS colors that fall outside of the capable spectrum of reproduction provides a powerful system to accurately reproduce a wide variety of sku art requirements on the same sheet.
- Hybrid UV printing allows for exacting reproduction and dry trapping of color on color on a variety of substrates to include foils and plastics.
- UV coatings applied in line offer outstanding gloss and protection.
- Calibrated color proofing to photo-spectrometer standards
- Printing equipment with live color management to customer approved photo-spectrometer standards.
- Seven color & coating over one and nine color & coating over one inline capability.
- Line screen reproduction up to 300 lines substrate dependent.
